I am over the moon to announce that I have been selected as one of the first Nike Made to Play Coach Educators, as part of the London team.

What is the Nike Made to Play Coach Educator programme?
With expert support from Youth Sport Trust International and ICOACHKIDS, Nike is empowering a new generation of coaches across Europe to improve sport experiences for all children.
The Made to Play Coach Educator programme recruited coaches from London, Paris, Berlin, Barcelona, Milan and Amsterdam who are passionate about coaching children. The programme will help these coaches build on their existing skills, elevate their professional profile through storytelling opportunities and grow their network. With the aim of them become the next generation of game changers in sport, Coach Educators.
Nike Made to Play Coach Educators will then work with cohorts of coaches from Nike Made to Play partner organisations and employees, by sharing their expertise to help equip other coaches with the skills to provide a positive and inclusive experience for young people in sport, whilst inspiring them to reach their full potential on and off the sports field.

COACH EDUCATOR SUMMIT: KNVB Campus, Netherlands
In January 2023, Youth Sport Trust International, ICOACHKIDS and Nike EMEA Social Impact invited the selected coaches from each city to attend the Coach Educators summit. It was an incredible opportunity to enjoy and learn from experts and other coaches from across europe, including fellow Coach Educators from London, Paris, Berlin, Barcelona, Milan and Amsterdam, during a 2-day training program at KNVB Campus.
The training program was designed to enable coaches to build their on skills as a coach educator. Delivered by international experts, the coaches were introcude to the basics of Positive Play, the tools and skills required to be a continuous learner and confidence to pass on this knowledge to train other coaches to deliver positive experience to children, helping to unleash their full potential.

This summit was invaluable. I am feeling inspired, empowered and super lucky to be a part of this project.
I’m excited for what’s next with the London team, as we bring all of our new knowledge, friendships and motivation home. Soon we will be paired with a local Nike partner organisation, so it’s time to get prepared to work with their coaches. Stay tuned to find out who we’re working with and how it goes!
